Responsabilité environnementaleIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Extensive analysis of the beauty market and literature research on the definition of "clean beauty" or "clean products" reveals that this is a question of one’s own interpretation. Those definitions are still not subject to an established cosmetic regulation or label, so they may be misleading and misused. Nevertheless, "clean beauty" is an emerging need and the new star on the cosmetic beauty sky. RAHN is aware of this new star and therefore, we created our Clean Beauty Compass, for the development of the RAHN - Cosmetic Actives (RCA) which helps us navigate through the cosmetic world of "Clean Beauty cosmetics".
The most important drivers are consumers and their newly gained consciousness of sustainability. The "clean beauty" movement evolves beyond recyclings and includes a more holistic view on personal responsibility, identity, surrounding and rights.Note de contenu : - RAHN-Cosmetic Actives' Wind Rose

VaricositésIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Vascular blemishes can lead to unsightly skin appearance. A neglected cause can be oedema leading to puffy eyes and promoting visibility of small blood vessels. By taking advantage of an aqueous extract from Helichrysum italicum, puffy eyes and visibility of spider veins could be significantly reduced in an in-vivo study. Data from this study and in-vitro investigations suggest a negative role of nitric oxide (NO) in the development of these blemishes. VergeturesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The leaf sap from the South African medicinal plant Bulbine frutescens is an ideal starter material for a new natural collagen booster. It stimulates collagen synthesis without the inflammatory processes that would result in overdrive. In this way, it provides the skin with an extra portion of high-quality collagen and paves the way for exciting applications to fill wrinkles or lift sagging skin. Indeed, we show that an active ingredient based on Bulbine frutescens leaf juice (LIFTONIN'-XPERT) simultaneously acts as a biological filler for hollow skin and as a lifting agent for sagging skin.
Here we focus on its anti-stretch mark efficacy. Stretch marks are unsightly skin aberrations that have a significant impact on self-confidence and the willingness to show the skin in public, e.g. at the beach on holiday. There is a big market for anti-stretch mark products since 30 % of all women end up with stretch marks during puberty and 70% face them following pregnancy. We show that this active ingredient visibly and measurably reduces stretch marks and hence renews self-esteem.
Bulbine frutescens leaf juice represents a promising regimen in situations where extra collagen is required — be it wrinkles, sagging skin, stretch marks or even tattoo aftercare.Note de contenu : - Different problems, but a single cause

Peau -- Soins et hygièneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Our intracellular cleaning system is one of the most sophisticated mechanisms in our body. The long-lived skin cells such as fibroblasts and basal layer keratinocytes keep themselves and their environment clean and tidy every day through autophagy.
This cellular self-digestion process is not only vital for cleaning the cells but also for maintaining cellular homeostasis and physiological cellular function.
Unfortunately, the efficiency of the cellular waste disposal systems deteriorates over time. Cells lose their functional identity, resulting in cellular senescence. Therefore, safely inducible autophagy and maintenance of proper autophagy processes will help to counteract age-accumulated impairments and keep keratinocytes and fibroblasts young.
REFORCYL®-AION targets the three major components involved in a healthy cellular cleaning process: the Golgi apparatus, the LC3 autophagy marker protein and mitochondrial fitness. It helps cells to reactivate the autophagy process, it supplies themwith the necessary nutrition and its whole supply chain is carbon-neutral. It is thus a holistic concept that is both skin- and nature-friendly.Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : The golgi apparatus - the coordinator of autophagy and the cellular post office - The mitochondrion - cellular and autophagy energy supplier - Autophagy - the cellular upcycling plant

Oxydation
Stress oxydatifIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : An urban lifestyle is exciting and brings with it a wealth of possibilities. But we often have to find a way of achieving a balance between a very fast-paced life and a more sedate form of living that does not involve stress. Hair and scalp are also daily exposed, in addition to the most common mechanical and chemical stressors, to ever-increasing air pollution and the impact of UV irradiation. Long-term exposure to particulate matter and solar irradiation is known to induce chemical damage to both hair and scalp because of the toxic and oxidising pollutants that become attached to them. RADICARE-ECO forms a non-occlusive shield against urban pollution and protects hair and scalp against environmental stress. Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : (H)air pollution and oxidative stress
