Rayonnement ultraviolet
Réticulation (polymérisation)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The authors explain how a process for free radical UV polymerisation results in reduced premature termination and enhanced properties of UV cured films.
With a free-radical UV chemistry, a UV curing process utilising lamps that supply constant UV, obtained via the use of DC poxwer supplies, yields higher double bond conversion than lamps that supply pulsed UV, obtained by using AC power supplies. This increase in double bond conversion, even if relatively small, can yield significant enhancement of physical properties in the final cured coating, ink, or adhesive. This effect presents a significant improvement in the state-of-the art in UV curing and as a result Fusion UV has been granted US patent 6,908,586 B2 on the process of using constant UV (DC power supply) when curing free-radical chemistries.Note de contenu : - The UV polymerisation process
