Presses à injecterIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Injection is the process step in injection molding that is most quality critical. The injection speed profile and its reproducibility have a direct influence on the internal and external properties of a part. The adjustment of the injection step is therefore of particular importance. Engel injection-molding machines with electrical injection units now feature optimized setpoint computation of this profile, with clear visualization, which increases the process transparency and ease of operation. Note de contenu : - Smooth or dynamic ?
- Expected speed profile before the first cycle
- Input merges with the output
- Fig. : With immediate effect, Engel is equipping all injection-molding machines with electrical injection units with an optimized setpiont computation for the injection speed profile
- Fig. 1 : The precalculated speed profile (broken line) shows the expected speed profile based on the setpoint values. By changing the profile dynamics, the movement can be made more gentle or more dynamic. The effect is visible directly during the movement of the slider
- Fig. 2 : The graphic display in the CC300 shows all th eimportant information at a glance. The injection profile is displayed from right to left, corresponding to the direction of movement of the screw. The green lines represent the speed curves and the red line, the pressure curve
- Fig. 3 : The red area stands for the pressure control. It illustrates the holding pressure phase and possible intervention by the pressure limit controllerEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xnDJgkhJXWDpowzxp66_sRKngzs46VTG/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=32449

Temps de cycle (production) -- RéductionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : All-electric or hybrid ? - Often, it is only the three principal movements of moldclosing, plastication and injection that are executed electrically on an electric injection molding machine. Yet, there is further potential for boosting production efficiency and product quality by converting the classic secondary movements, e.g. of rotary tables, ejectors and core pullers, from hydraulic to electro-mechanical drives. Note de contenu : - Electric rotary tables shorten cycle times
- Sensitive electric ejectors
- Electric core pullers : often still a challenge
- Synchronized movements allow highly integrated processes
- Medical technology is one of the biggest driversPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=18621

Temps de cycle (production) -- RéductionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Cycle times of three to four seconds have long been part of everyday life in the injection molding of packaging parts. And the pressure to speed up production rhythms continues to increase. Shaving just one tenth of a second shorter off the cycle time is enough to increase output by three per cent. An assistance system from Engel is capable of doing precisely that, boosting the productivity of high-performance injection molding even further. Note de contenu : - Mold movement takes up a large share of cycle time
- Precision coordination of mold movement with the process is the key
- Focus on mechatronic drive system
- Fire-tuning for each individual application
- Producing thin-wall containers five percent faster
- Standard feature in high-performance machines
- Fig. 1 : iQ motion control shortens mold opening and closing on toggle machines. This leads to shorter dry cycle times
- Fig. 2 : During mold closing and subsequent dynamic buildup of clamping force, the drive is constantly cycling between acceleration and deceleration
- Fig. 3 : The variable transmission ratio of the toggle ensures high mold speeds during long opening strokes (toggle retracted) and high power transmission from motor to mold under clamping force (toggle extended)
- Fig. 4 : The speed of the closing motor (left) and the drive torque (right) clearly reveal where time is saved in the cycle. The yellow curve shows the behavior obtained with active iQ motion control. They feature smooth movements thanks to a virtually constant stroke/velocity ratio and automatic operating point setting. Pression -- ContrôleIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Injection pressure increases constantly while plastic melt is being injected into a mold. In order to maintain a specified injection pressure limit, melt flow has to be slowed down before reaching its limit value. A pressure limit closed loop controller determines the latest possible point for intervening in the injection process, in order to obtain the shortest injection time that is still compatible with maximum mold protection. Note de contenu : - Thin-wall production without process stability
- Not early, but timely intervention
- Feedback controller keeps pressure reliability under controlEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/12sgotvthegOmf8rGaS3EbFH9UuG_Orbj/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=23296
