Thermomechanical properties of the polyurethane blends were measured using dynamic mechanical analysis. Kinetics of the ultraviolet-initiated radical polymerization reaction and the polyol/isocyanate addition reaction were monitored using attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Revêtements organiquesIndex. décimale : 667.6 Peintures Résumé : Concrete areas that are easily painted include garages, patios, concrete block walls, concrete surfaces near pool areas, and more. Not only does concrete painting add colour and a decorative touch to an otherwise mundane surface, but it also helps to seal and protect the area. Painting a concrete floor or wall is a multi-step process, but that can be tackled by just about any do-it-yourself. One can find a variety of concrete paint colours and concrete paint types in home improvement stores, paint stores and hardware stores. It is important to make sure to select the proper type of paint for the job to ensure that the paint holds up and is suitable for the location it will be applied on. - Floor painting
- Market expectations of floor coatings
- Principles of paint adhesion
- Importance of adhesion

Revêtements organiquesIndex. décimale : 667.6 Peintures Résumé : Dispersion or emulsion paints are formulated with a variety of chemically different types of binders, which in most cases can be classified as acrylic esters copolymers or vinyl ester copolymers. A suitable binder is necessary to give a high quality paint. Experiments on masonry paints in the PVC range of 35 to 55% show that after many years of outdoor exposure no significant difference between straight acrylic and acrylic/styrene copolymers can be found. More important is the optimisation of the pigment volume concentration and the pigment/extender combination than the type of the binder. Note de contenu : - Various acrylic copolymer dispersions with similar particle size
- Paint formulations
- Water is the main source of damage a coating
- Neutralisation of binders with NaOH gives better WA and WVTR results
- Outdoor weathering results
- Colour changes due to outdoor exposure
- Yellowing of acrylic based paints is not better than acrylic/styrene
- Chalking due to out door exposure
