LED - The incandescent light bulb, once the pioneer of a global lighting revolution, is disappearing from stores. It has long been superseded by a new generation of light sources. These new lighting technologies are driven by energy-efficient light-emitting diodes, or LEDs. Now, a newly developed UV-curing silicone has created the breakthrough necessary for their inexpensive mass production. It will allow optical lenses to be produced directly on the LED chip. |
