Résumé : |
The first part of this project, presented at the 1985 ALCA concention, consisted of basic studies. Those studies were conducted along purely practical lines. The results of that work, never-the-less,provided a foundation that enabled a relatively simple classification to be made ; e.g. tanning vs auxiliary.Evidence was also presented concerning the effects of each type of syntan in a retannage context. It was also stated that mixed retannages could provide optimum usage of these materials by utilising the advantages of both types.
This paper takes the characterisation process one step further and explores, in more detail, the behaviour of each type of syntan. Also presented are results obtained from mixed system retannages to further clarify the rationale for selecting products to meet set targets. |
