Soudage laserIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : During the past 15 years, laser plastic welding has become firmly established, and is being developed further to keep up with new industrial requirements. The method’s high efficiency and reproducible quality are convincing. Moreover, it permits novel product layouts. Note de contenu : - Comparison with conventional joining methods
- Processing variants in practice
- Quality testing of laser plastic weldsEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/12K2efqr3yP7uM2RvZcfZvz0HQiaPy4fK/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=21622

Temps de cycle (production) -- RéductionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : High savings in welding time while maintaining or improving the quality of the welded joint - this was the driving force behind the development of a new optical setup at Evosys Laser GmbH. In the meantime, experience with a well-known German automotive supplier of two real components with increased safety requirements, for which extensive documentation had to be provided, has been gained. Note de contenu : - Near-series tests on real assemblies
- Shorter cycle times with the same strength and more stable process
- Higher strengths with the same welding time
- Figure : A look into the production shows several radial welding machines shortly before delivery. The NGO technology is now abailable for all Evosys systems
- Fig. 1 : Damaged PBT assembly: since the transmission of the material is relatively low, there is a risk of superficial burns if sufficient laser power is used for laser welding
- Fig. 2 : Standard optics and NGO in comparison: welding time was significantly reduced for both components. The mean values of the measurements on five units are shown in each case
- Fig. 3 : Burst pressure comparison: the differences lie in the order of magnitude of the measuring tolerances
- Fig. 4 : Unchanged seam quality despite shorter welding time : standard optics compared to NGO. In the center of the image of the fractography of assembly I the fractured seam appears in the focus of the microscope. The images on the left show the view of the transparent joining partner, the images on the right the view of the absorbing joining partner

Soudage laserIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Especially in the automotive industry, high-performance polymers are increasingly replacing assemblies made of metal and conventional engineering plastics, but their properties often present new challenges for joining technology. With novel laser system technology, even demanding materials can be joined. Note de contenu : - PPS connected in a process-safe way
- Laser welding of glass fiber filled materials
- Analysis of differently filled types
- Comparison of joining methods
