Surface pretreatment - Before metal layers can bond permanently to plastic surfaces, the latter have to be pretreated. Up until now, existing methods have suffered from concerns about environmental or occupational safety aspects, or their specific properties limit them to certain application areas. A new treatment method is proposed in which excimer lamps are used to emit in the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region to improve adhesion of the metal. |
