Résumé : |
Material bonding - The one-time introduction of energy to melt a plastic resin can be used to also initiate chemical reactions. This permits bonding of an ultra-thin layer of a functional polymer to the surface of the molded part. In this way, process-integrated surface modification during injection molding becomes possible. |
Note de contenu : |
- Thin modifier film on the mold's surface
- The challenge : achieving high yields
- Permanent modification demonstrated in actual practice
- Adhesion during two-component injection molding
- Pattern-based selective surface modification |
