RevêtementsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Polyurea is a state of the art, high performance, elastomeric membrane which offers several advantages to the owner, contractor and applicator. This technology gives blend of exciting properties such as fast curing even at low temperatures, water insensitivity along with excellent chemical resistance, mechanical properties, high durability and negligible VOC content. The broad window of application conditions and excellent properties makes polyurea a very suitable coating for several applications such as roof repair, containment liners, membranes, car park decks, bridges and offshore etc. The new developments in the raw material and the advancement in application equipment have widened the application domain tremendously. Continuous development of new raw materials for formulation work will move this technology to a higher level of industrial coating work in near future. Spectroscopie de réflectanceIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is well established as an analytical tool, for the determination of different functional moieties in complex matrices, including polymers and resins, both natural and synthetic. In addition to conventional KBr sampling techniques, DRIFT (Diffuse Reflectance), ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) and Specular Reflectance (SRS) techniques are also associated with FTIR. Specular Reflectance spectroscopy is useful in compounds having amorphous structures, as well as substances, which cannot be ground to a fine powder for KBr sampling. Such materials are therefore cast as films on reflecting surfaces and the reflectance spectra of the films are obtained, which may have to be converted to easily recognizable, transmission-type spectra, through sophisticated computerized techniques. In the present work, specular reflectance spectroscopy was utilized to ascertain molecular level differences in functional moieties of lac resin, obtained from different sources. TitaneIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Titanium polyester resin, a condensation product of carboxylic terminated polyester and titanium dioxide, was prepared for the first time. Three samples of polyester resins with carboxylic terminated end group were selected for the investigation. Two samples were prepared using Soya bean oil- monoglyceride as diol and phthalic anhydride as dibasic acid, while third polyester was prepared by di-ethylene glycol and phthalic anhydride. Various titanium polyester resin samples were prepared by varying mole ratio of polyester and titanium dioxide. The aluminium paints based on these titanium polyester resins were found to sustain temperature resistance up to 800°C without any loss oftheir film properties. Saturated polyester was found to give better results than unsaturated polyesters. The coatings exhibited excellent flexibility, scratch hardness and adhesion. Note de contenu : - Aims of present investigation
- Experimental : Preparation of monoglyceride - Compositions of polyester resins - Preparation of polyesters - Evaluation of polyester resins - Composition of titanium polyesters - Preparation of titanium polyesters - Composition and evaluation of the aluminium paint
- Heat resistance of aluminum paintPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=11497
