Substitution - Compressed air is an important energy source in many production operations. Its high convenience contrasts with the high costs for energy generation, distribution and maintenance. There are potential savings here that have not been rigorously exploited. An EU study ascertained, for example, that major savings can be made simply by reducing leaks in the pipe network. |
