Polyethylene tanks - A consortium of eight companies and four research institutes has developed a process for channelling the material used for heating oil tanks and automotive plastic fuel tanks into a closed material loop in a research project sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The soiling caused by the penetration of hydrocarbons is removed in an environmentally-compatible and cost-efficient manner. |
