Trends in plastic furniture - Back in the sixties, furniture designers eagerly seized on plastic as a symbol of the trendy way of life. They also used it as a provocation against traditional materials like wood. In later years, consumers lost interest in such designs. At this year’s furniture fair in Milan, it was evident that all the big designers had been working with plastic. Are plastics experiencing a new lease of life in furniture design ? |
