Article optimisation - Compared to rigid packaging, flexible packaging for nutrient solutions offers a number of benefits. To date, the disadvantages versus rigid packaging have been the considerably higher packaging and processing costs. Using a new technical solution, a lower port fitting (port spout), through which the pouch can be filled like a bottle in a continuously operating filling machine, is welded in just before filling. The packaging is then closed by an upper port fitting (port cap) with snap fit and valve. |
