Reinforcing fibres - Reinforcing fibres are known to influence material properties of fibre composites in different ways, depending on the fibre composition and its surface coating, which in turn affect the performance potential and the costs, as well as the intended field of application. An overview of the different reinforcing fibres applied in polymer composites presents advantages and drawbacks, together with the market for key fibre materials. |
