Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Immunohistology has enabled the identification and localisation of individual connective tissue components in bovine hides. This approach allows examination of components which may not be readily studied by chemical analysis because they are present in only small amounts, for example type VII collagen. The changes in these components during the initial stages (liming, bating and pickling) of hide processing into leather have been followed, particularly in the grain enamel (surface). The data showed no clear changes to major structural components of the hide, for example types I, III and VI collagens. Type VII collagen remained in the grain layer, where it may still be anchoring residual components of the basement membrane, after liming, bating and pickling steps. The use of bating during processing may change the coposition of the grain enamel by causing more effective removal of certain components such as laminin. However, use of a processing strategy known to cause grain damage, led to complete loss of reactivity to type IV and type VII collagens and laminin. These date support the role of components of the basal lamina in providing the final surface of leather. While either drying or antibiotic treatment were effective inhealing the clinical infections, the pelt defect persisted for at least six weeks after treatment in a number of cases. Tannage Résumé : Collagen was reacted with a number of commercially available cyclic, aliphatic anhydrides in an attempt to improve the subsequent aluminium tannate by introducing additional binding sites for the mineral. Succinic anhydride was found to be the most promising. An unsuccessful attempt was then made to treat collagen with 2-dodecen-1-ylsuccinic anhydride, a substance which would not only introduce additional carboxyl groups, byt would also impart to the leather a substantive fatliquoring effect. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Dry cleanable leather can be obtained as a result of a compact tannage consisting of the simultaneous introduction of the tanning and fatliquoring agents into the cutaneous tissue resulting in a permanent bonding of both systems with collagen.
Compact tanning requires the synthesis of the bifunctional preparation. Several tanning/fatliquoring preparation. Several tanning/fatliquoring preparations have been prepared which possessed good properties but created someecological problems.
The aim of the present study was the synthesis of a bifunctional preparation which could be used in technological processes.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jx4o6xANx-axMVF2_h-2eT3DDXIjquE8/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=8500

Tannage Résumé : Under the aegis of an Integrated Mission Programme on the "Modernization of the Indian Leather Industry", extensive scientific investigation are being undertaken at CLRI to develop know-how and to design engineering packages for cemmercial exploitation. This programme received a significant boost in 1990 when the first large Indian tannery commissioned micro-processor control systems for its wet operations. This paper presents the recent efforts of Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) in association with Central Electronics Engineering Research institute (CEERI), Pilani in developing the simple computer assisted control systems for application in small scale tanneries. The entire hardware and software are based on Indian manufactured equipment.
