Generative production processes have proved successful in virtually all the different sectors in the twenty years since they were first introduced and have become key elements in product development and customized production. Three approaches stand out from amongst the wide range of developments worldwide. The systems are now making a move into the micro range, permitting the direct production of parts and assemblies. Machines are becoming faster and more productive, and new concepts now mean that the direct and cost-efficient production of customized mass-produced articles for everyone will soon be within reach. |
