Development and design - Many of the general methods employed for development of plastic products are not new. What is new, however, is the intensity with which methodical work is being performed and how value analysis experts are being used to not only generate new ideas, but to also take implementation and costs into account. Advances in simulation techniques help to provide a secure basis for innovations and to convert ideas into volume production at an ever-faster pace without the need for prototype testing. The trend among new products continues to be ''green'', lightweight and compact. |
