Titre : High performance UV parquet coatings based on unsaturated acrylics Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Manfred Muller, Auteur Année de publication : 2001 Article en page(s) : p. 118-122 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Industrial parquet is most commonly sealed with UV-curing coatings. These coatings have to meet severe requirements, in particular with respect to their adhesion and abrasion properties. As this article shows, the abrasion performance of topcoats can be improved with low viscosity urethane acrylate resins, that require less reactive thinner, and with optimised corundum fillers. Better adhesion can be achieved, on the other hand, with dual-cure primers based on UV-curing urethane acrylates containing free NCO groups and waterbased urethane modified polyester acrylates. Note de contenu : - Criteria for optimised parquet coatings
- Optimised coating system with UP primer and UA topcoat
- Low viscosity urethane acrylates perform better
- Corundum fillers must be properly chosen to optimise abrasion
- Further recipieds for high performance
- Matting efficiency depends on the curing temperatureEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LHlYR9OJ5AHp_AfDCDj-yrIkopL6MZlC/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10963

Titre : DMA of new acrylic-polyurethane hybrids Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Kartar S. Arora, Auteur ; Felix Baah, Auteur ; Gregory M. Canard, Auteur ; David E. Setzke, Auteur Année de publication : 2001 Article en page(s) : p. 124-133 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : New polyurethane hybrids were developed for parquet coatings. These hybrid emulsion made with varying levels of monomers and PUD were used for investigation of the relationships between properties of coatings and compositions of hybrids. Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) was used to analyze the morphology of films obtained from hybrids. It was found that the DMA related to the level of acrylic or polyurethane present in the hybrid emulsion. Also the Atomic Force Microscopy showed that PUD had a tendency to be present on the surface. Titre : Reinforcing nanoparticles in reactive resins Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Thorsten Adebahr, Auteur ; Christof Roscher, Auteur ; Johannes Adam, Auteur Année de publication : 2001 Article en page(s) : p. 144-149 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A novel route to prepare nanocomposites consisting of monodispersed SIO2-nanoparticles and reactive resins was developed followed by an intensive study of mechanical properties of various epoxy-resin/ SIO2-nanoparticle systems. This new innovative technology leads to materials combining increased modulus with a significant improvement in fracture toughness and processability. Even with very high loads of nanosized particles, water-clear systems can be realized with lower viscosities than filled systems based on conventional particle reinforcing strategies. Note de contenu : - To transfer colloidal silica particls form water into various monomers, prepolymers, and polymers
- The experiment
- Nearly as clear as the starting resin
- Sharp borderline between the SiO2-particles and the surrounding solvent
- Fracture toughness improvements of up to 90 %
- A continuous increase of toughness and modulus up to 40 % SiO2 content
- Side-effect : undesired crystallization of the bisphenol A and F epoxies is being prevented by SiO2 additionEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Vdj07dM_Rw4sJQqMkw_VVJiNfaZ5q0zz/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10966

Titre : Siliconized epoxy coatings Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : S. Ananda Kumar, Auteur ; M. Alagar, Auteur Année de publication : 2001 Article en page(s) : p. 152-159 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Unmodified epoxy and siliconized epoxy coating systems (in the absence and in the presence of 15% zinc powder) were developed by using epoxy resin GY 250 (DGEBA) and hydroxyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane with γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane as crosslinker and dibutyltindilaurate as catalyst. Hexamethylenediamine (A), polyamidoamine (B), aromatic polyamine adduct I (C) and aromatic polyamine adduct II (D) were used as curing agents for unmodified epoxy and siliconized epoxy coating systems. Physical properties such as coating thickness (DFT), adhesion, water absorption, degree of rusting and blistering of unmodified epoxy and siliconized epoxy coating systems (in the absence and in the presence of 25% zinc powder) were studied. The effect of siloxane introduction and the addition of zinc powder (25%) into the unmodified epoxy coating systems were also studied. Similarly, the mechanical properties such as abrasion resistance, hardness and Impact strength of unmodified epoxy and siliconized epoxy coating systems with the addition of 25% zinc powder were discussed. It is observed from the studies, that the incorporation of siloxane in to the unmodified epoxy resin enhances the adhesion to steel specimens, reduces water absorption, degree of rusting and degree of blistering of steel specimens. Further, the addition of 25% zinc powder to the unmodified epoxy and siliconized epoxy coating systems improves the physical properties of the coating systems. Similarly, the incorporation of siloxane in to the unmodified epoxy resin Improves the impact strength, abrasion resistance and reduces the hardness values. Addition of 25% zinc powder to the unmodified epoxy and sillconized epoxy coating systems further improves the impact strength, abrasion resistance and hardness.
