Firstly, the moisture permeability of the neck, belly, back and hip of natural sheepskin was tested and the change rule of moisture permeability was analyzed. Then the SEM electron microscope pictures and water contact angle data were obtained. Through the analysis of the fibre distribution, the tight arrangement of fibres and the tension of leather surface in different parts of natural sheepskin, the reasons for the formation of this moisture permeability rule were explained. The study found that under the same temperature and humidity conditions, the moisture permeability of sheep skin in different parts is different. On the whole, the moisture permeability of different parts of sheep skin showed the order of belly > hip > back > neck. Microstructure analysis showed that the order of fibre tightness in different parts was neck > back > hip > belly. The natural sheepskin fibres in the belly and hip are loosely arranged, and their water contact angles are also small, which facilitates the passage of water vapour, so they have excellent performance in moisture permeability; the fibres on the back and neck of natural sheepskin are closely arranged, with less voids, and the water contact angle of the skin is also large, which affects the passage of water vapour. Therefore, the performance of moisture permeability is not as good as that of the belly and hip. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL METHODS : Material preparation - Experiment equipment - Theory

The differences in specific surface area and average pore size of sheepskin in different parts were analyzed, and the grey correlation analysis between the three influencing parameters and the moisture permeability of sheepskin in different parts was carried out. The study found that the specific surface area and average pore size of sheep skin in different parts were different. The specific surface area of sheep skin in different parts was ranked as follows: belly > back > neck > hip, and the average pore size was ranked as follows: neck > back > belly > hip. Through the comprehensive analysis of grey correlation, it is found that the order of influence of quality parameters on the moisture permeability of natural sheepskin is: average pore size > thickness > specific surface area. It was found that the effect of temperature on the moisture permeability of natural sheepskin and regenerated leather was significantly greater than that of time. The performance and trend of moisture permeability of recycled leather under both time and temperature are similar to that of sheepskin as a whole. At a low temperature below 50°C, the moisture permeability of recycled leather is comparable to that of natural sheepskin ; as the temperature rises, its moisture permeability gradually opens up the gap with that of sheepskin. By SEM characterisation, it was found that the fibrous tissues of the natural sheepskin papilla layer were tightly connected and the fibrous tissues of the reticulated layer were loose and disordered ; the recycled leather mainly consisted of crushed fibrous waste and adhesive, and the fibres were stuck with adhesive between them. MicroscopieIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Because of its inherent growth, the cattlehide varies from one part to another. The purpose of this study is to test and analyse the mechanical properties of different parts of cattlehide. It was found that : the same piece of cattlehide has a large difference in mechanical properties in the transverse
direction and in the longitudinal direction. Fracture strength: neck > butt > belly, elongation at break : butt > belly > neck, tensile strength : butt > neck > belly. Fibre density is positively correlated with the fracture strength. The fibre density of the belly was 53% with poor bundling. The butt had a fibre density of 59%, with good bundling and large pores between fibres. The fibre density of the neck was 65%. There were small pores between fibres with loose fibre weaving, and disordered fibre arrangement. Differences in the structural shape of the fibres in the corium layer resulted in differences in the strength of the components.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE : Experimental parameters - Experimental materials and apparatus

PerméabilitéIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In this paper, the comprehensive effects of environmental temperature and time on the moisture permeability of natural sheepskin and regenerated leather were compared and analysed by using MATLAB fitting and least square method and their regression equations were constructed respectively.
The microstructure comparison shows that both natural and recycled leathers are composed of protein fibres, which have many hydrophilic groups in their chains, therefore both have good moisture permeability which varies significantly with temperature. The moisture permeability of regenerated leather is slightly weaker than that of natural sheepskin leather. The reason is that latex molecules fill between the collagen fibres, which reduces the gaps through which water vapour can pass, while the papillary layer of natural sheepskin has a tight structure and has a wicking effect that regenerated leather does not.Note de contenu : - Correlation analysis between temperature and time of the moisture permeability of natural sheepskin and regenerated leather
