This paper describes a new spin finish oil with 2 general technical characteristics achieving the benefits of reducing water use, by suppressing the generation of foam in the fiber line as well as by easing the process of wastewater treatment. Of course, this new spin finish oil maintains the same very good performance as found in other products, in terms of fiber manufacturability and spinning mill processability. Note de contenu : - Water issues in the textile industry
- Use of water in PET staple fiber production
- Technical approaches with new spin finish oil for reduction of water consumption
- Table 1 : Wastewater consumption in different emulsion concentrations
- Table 2 : Results of 24 hours test in drawing bath
- Table 3 : Results of wastewater treatability test
