Tannage Résumé : Reverse reference flow injection analysis (rFIA) was proposed to determine PO4-P in tannery effluent combined with phosphorus antimony molybdenum blue photometry (deoxidized reagent is L-ascorbic acid). The result showed that, under the optimal conditions, good linear work curve with high sensitivity and broad linear range was obtained with this method to determine PO4-P. The linear ranges were 6 x 10-4-6 x 10-2 and 6 x 10-2-5mg/l, the detection limit of this method was 0.18μg/l, and relative standard deviation (RSD) of 3.03% (n = 11) was obtained by injecting a standard solution with 10μg/l PO4-P. This method was used to analyze the PO4-P in tannery effluent with recovery ranging from 96.0% to 97.8%.

PhénolIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A sensitive, accurate and relatively interference-free flow injection analysis (FIA) is proposed here to determine volatile phenol in tannery effluent. The method combinines 4-amino-antipyrine (4-AAP) photometry using potassium ferricyanide [K3Fe(CN)6] as oxidant and 4-AAP as colour developing reagent. The results showed that, under optimal conditions, a good linear curve with high sensitivity and broad linear range was obtained: the peak height was truly linear with the concentration of volatile phenol in the range of 4 x 10-4-4, 4-6 and 6-8mg/l. The detection limit of this method was 3.4 x 10-4mg/l. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was 0.85% (n = 14) by injecting tannery effluent. Satisfactory results were achieved using this method to determine the volatile phenol in tannery effluent with recovery percentages ranging from 94.9 to 99.1%. TaninsIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A rapid, simple, reliable and automatic method was proposed for on-line determination of tannic acid in leather wastewaters. Based on the tannic acid reduction of phosphotungstic acid to form a blue compound in pH12.38 alkaline solutions, the shade of the blue compound is in a linear relation to the content of tannic acid at the maximum absorption peak of 700nm. The optimal experimental conditions have been obtained. The linear range of the proposed method was between 200μg L-1 to 50mg L-1. The relative standard deviation was 3.21% and 2.06% for 500μg L-1 and 20mg L-1 of tannic acid standard solution respectively (n = 10). The method had been successfully applied to determination of tannic acid in leather wastewater samples and the analytical results were satisfactory.
