For efficient development processes and high product quality, their anisotropic material properties must be factored into the design cycle. A simple approach often taken is to reduce the material stiffness. However, a more accurate approach is to consider the effective fiber orientation. This article discusses the pros and cons of both approaches. Note de contenu : - Realistic mapping of local stiffness
- Comparison of isotropic and anisotropic simulations
- Deviations within the expected range
- Use of the anisotropic simulation in product development
