An optimized injection molding tool now enables highly oriented test specimens to be produced. In this way, the necessary fiber orientation-dependent parameters for a reliable material description can be determined. Note de contenu : - Micromechanical methods and currently used test specimens
- Concept of the UD plate
- Experimental determination of fiber orientation
- Figure : Schematic representation of fiber orientation in the x direction determined by simulation. The new plate makes it possible to produce short glass fiber-reinforced, unidirectional test specimens. The particular advantage of the new plate is that specimens can be taken under any desired angle
- Fig. 1 : The classic dumbbel-shaped test bar according to DIN EN ISO 527-2 type 1A used in material testing
- Fig. 2 : An injection molded plate with a highly oriented test zone measuring 20 x 80 x 2 mm3, specially developed for testing short glass fiber-reinforced plastics
- Fig. 3 : Optimized UD plate with a highly oriented test zone measuring 40 x 80 x 2 mm3. Test bars can be extracted at any desired angle, for example 0°, 45° and 90°
- Fig. 4 : Fiber orientation tensor in the center of the test zone of the UD plate (red dot in Fig. 3). The tensor component a_xx shows that 78% to 89% of the fibers are oriented in the filling direction (x direction). No more than 11% of the fibers lie in the y and z directions (perpendicular to the filling direction and in the thickness direction)En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_pmprepS3Tkh3X4UtYU1hfBWvZrJYf5S/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=32455
