Direct-to-metal coatings formulated with resins made using 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol not only are rugged and deliver bestin-class weathering and corrosion resistance but can also be a potential replacement for 2-coat systems. Note de contenu : - Identifying a persistent problem
- A new solution
- Hydrolysis resistance
- Moisture barrier
- Corrosion resistance

For testing, the panels were removed from the salt fog chamber, allowed to dry for a minimum of 12 hrs., then immersedin hot tap water for 30 minutes followed by scraping with a steel spatula to remove all loose paint
