Résumé : |
The search continues for robust polymer fibers for structural strain monitoring applications that are not affected by their surroundings. Particle-doped polymers spun as the core of bicomponent monofilaments may finally lead researchers in the right direction. These filaments are protected from external influences by the insulating sheath polymer. In addition, strains can be measured, even at strains greater than 5%, which is not normally possible with many optical systems or strain gauges. The production, analysis and possible perspectives for such filaments are presented in this work. |
