Bioplastics have a problematic reputation among injection moulders because, in the past, running them has been both cumbersome and expensive. However, modern bioplastics do not exhibit the troubling qualities of their predecessors and can now run through the injection moulding process similarly to traditional petroleum-based plastics. We spoke with four injection moulders who have successfully worked with bioplastics to gauge their thoughts on the materials' performance. |
