Innovative non-slip and smart mats to increase safety at home were developed under the Helpintex project. The non-slip effect is achieved by the integration of new bicomponent sheath/core fibers into the textile structure. lt has a textile sensorial matrix fully integrated into the textile structure, allowing the detection of presence or movement and sending alerts to a caregiver through a mobile application or web platform. It can be also used as a remote intrusion detection system. |
