Within the project "Bio-based adhesives with heat activation" funded by the BMEL, Federal ministry of Food and Agriculture / FNR, Agency for Renewable Resources, an ecological assessment of bio-based heat-activated adhesives for applications in the automotive, furniture and footwear industries, was carried out for the first time. Note de contenu : - Polyurethane dispersion adhesives with heat activation
- Trend towards bio-based alternatives
- Synthesis and characteristics of adhesive polymers
- Adhesives on the basis of bio-based polyurethane dispersions
- Environmental benefits of bio-based polyurethane dispersions
- FIGURES : 1. Building blocks of polyurethanne dispersions for production of adhesive formulations with thermal activation - 2. Crystallization behavior of semi-crystalline polyester polyols - 3. Thermal behavior of bio-based polyurethane dispersions and standard polyurethane disprsions (temperature increase of 2 kelvin/min) - 4. Surface tackiness of different bio-based polyurethand dispersions and two petrochemical polyurethane dispersions with different surface temperatures
