ThermodurcissablesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : They offer high stiffness, are heat and chemically resistant and flow freely into the machine: we are not talking about high-performance thermoplastic resins such as PEEK or PPS, but thermoset polymers. For processing these challenging materials, the large series specialist Baumgarten automotive technics employs the APC plus machine function from KraussMaffei. As a result, rejects have fallen significantly. Note de contenu : - Less fluctuation in the cavity pressure signal
- Same OFT value - But different material behavior
- The volumetric filling of the cavity remains constant
- Parts with higher shot weights - trend and challenge
- Large-series application
- Fig. : Key to the vacuum pump cover is the absolutely flat functional surface. The challenge here is that the pronounced rib structure on the reverse side must not show through on the flat side. This can be solved by using PF thermoset compounds
- Fig. 1 : Precision parts with only 10 pm tolerance : the oil pump adjusting ring of PF (MD+GF) 70. Production has been running since 2014 in continuous three-shift operation on a CX200
- Fig. 2 : A 48-hour test (24 h without and 24h with APC plus) shows that the machine function significantly reduces the fluctuation band of the cavity pressure (NT = non-thermoplastics)
- Fig. 3 : The more highly filled, the lower is the material-specific compression curve. At 1000 bar pressure, the mass column of an organically filled PF is compressed by 3.7% ; at 80 % filling of glass fibers and mineral components, it is only 1,8%
- Fig. 4 : If the cylinder temperature rises by 2°C, and the mass becomes less viscous, APC plus switches to holding pressure at an earlier point and reduces the pressure level to prevent over-filling of the partEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QV1ov7Dn0AiQiI8JccYmAFGf_hIWyil4/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Web Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=31414

Titre : More stability increases attractiveness : Optimized process control for injection molding of thermoset molding compounds Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Reinhard Schiffers, Auteur ; Topic, Nicolina, Auteur Année de publication : 2017 Article en page(s) : p. 26-29 Note générale : - Disturbances in injection molding
- Process stabilization through adaptive closed-loop control systeme
- Thermoset processing perspectives
- FIGURES : 1. melt pressure and mold cavity pressure curves during the injection and holding pressure phases of two BMC UP (GF+MD) material types with various viscosity: with the same process settings, various pressure curves result, which indicates a different molded part filling - 2. Injection molding of polyester bulk molding compounds with nonreturn valve. In contrast, free-flowing thermoset materials are processed without nonreturn valve. Accordingly changes in viscosity cause the return flow behavior to fluctuate by means of the screw theads and the molded part filling - 3. ThermodurcissablesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Their characteristic property profile makes thermosets attractive for many high-performance applications. Batch fluctuations, as well as process and environmental instability, produce disruptive effects in the injection molding of this highly filled, mold cross-linking material class, which have a direct impact on part quality. As part of the "QuaProDur" research project, alongside the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, the Deckerform Produktionssysteme GmbH tool manufacturer and the HBW-Gubesch Thermoforming GmbH plastic fabrication company (all located in Germany), KraussMaffei is optimizing the processing of thermoset molding compounds.
