Résumé : |
Linear viscoelasticity functions are related to the relaxation or to the retardation spectrum by means of Fredholm integral equations. As these spectra cannot be obtained directly from experimentation, its determination makes necessary to invert these equations. However, it is a well-know fact that the resolution of these equations is an ill-posed problem : even small oscillations in the values of the rheological functions give rise to strong oscillations in the spectra, and the solution becomes unstable and, in some cases, even without hysical sense. For that reason, many approximation methods have been developed to estimate the spectrum. Some of these techniques are reviewed in this work, together with an application to the characterisation of a complex oil-in-water emulsion. |
