When the surface is exposed to atmospheric influences it is observed that the main damage factors are corrosion and carbonation, it is sufficient to cover the surface with cernentitious slurries for protecting concrete structures, facades and building interiors as well as minera) substrates. The cementations slurries helping to reduce the concrete carbonation process.
To ensure long lasting durability, the exposure condition on a structure has an influential role on its durability. Decision to use or not a protective coating shall be taken after thorough consideration by selecting different types of coating system based on different polymers, Portland cernent and many other additives. |
