TuyauterieIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Corrosion of underground pipelines and other buried structures takes place by the electrochemical processes. Various factors are responsible for the corrosion of underground pipelines like dissimilar metals in the pipelines, variation of the nature of soil, different surface conditions of the pipelines, electrolysis and due to the attack of different groups of bacteria. Different methods were applied to protect the buried structures from corrosion like application of protective coatings which included hot applied coatings, cold applied coatings and cathodic protection (CP). The development of coating in every sphere e.g. formulation, manufacturing and application has elongated the life of underground structure. GelcoatIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Most surface coating application begins with the structure or article to be coated. The surface needs to be prepared sa as to remove contaminants that would detract the adhesion of the coating. However, there are one type of surface coating system that is used in quite opposite manner. These coatings are called gelcoats. They are used in such a way that substrate is built up onto the coating se that the gelcoat becomes an integral part of the article to be produced. The optimal dispersion of the nanofillers in the resin is a key factor for achieving the aforementioned properties. Note de contenu : - GELCOAT
