Résumé : |
The production and processing of high-performance thermoplastics impose high demands on plant engineering. Things get hot in the extruder, with temperatures reachingup to 500°C during compounding or fabrication of pipes, multifilaments, flat film and blown film. Filament extrusion for 3D printing has proven to be particularly economic in small-batch production. |
Note de contenu : |
- High-performance compounders ans single-screw extruders
- Special focus on calibration and cooling
- PEI and PEEK pipes fabricated with low residual stress
- Laminating unit for PEEK, LCP, PEI flat film and specialty laminates
- PEEK, PEI, LCP blown film
- Counter rotating die for high-performance blown films
- MDO stretching of high-performance films

- Filament extrusion for 3D printing
- Fig. 1 : The ILK at the Technical University of Dresden uses this line to produce PEI and PEEK pipes of up to 25 mm diameter and a wall thickness of 0.5 mm
- Fig. 2 : Illustration of the process for laminating Cu foil to PEI filled with talc
- Fig. 3 : Line speeds of up to 50 m/min are achieved with the BL 600 P high-temperature blowing line
- Fig. 4 : Die for high-performance blown film : a transverse component can be added to the orientation by rotating the mandrel and orifice
- Fig. 5 : The MDO stretching line is vertically configured to save space. The stretching gaps are adjusted by motor to a value ranging from 0.2 to 10 mm
- Fig. 6 : The extrusion section, cooling shaft and stretching unit of the multifilament line form an economic, copact unit |
