Règlements (droit administratif)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The members of The German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW) have long been committed to sustainability under the umbrella of the association. This
commitment has already led to a series of declared initiatives, such as the dialogue platform FORUM WASCHEN, the IKW report on sustainability in the detergents, maintenance and cleaning products industry as well as voluntary initiatives. The constant further development of initiatives and products in accordance with the concept of sustainability secures the sustainability of the detergents, maintenance and cleaning products industry in a constantly changing world. Sustainability means the balanced linking of economic and social aspects with ecological aspects to meet today’s needs while at the same time preserving all possibilities for future generations. Nonetheless, manufacturers of detergents, maintenance and cleaning products (home care products) frequently find themselves drawn into goal conflicts. For example, efforts to compact products more and more lead to the handling of such concentrated products posing a higher health risk in comparison with less concentrated products. The social benefit of the home care products with regard to hygiene and value-preserving aspects is undisputed. The products make a considerable contribution to present-day living and health standards, for example by prolonging the lifetimes of textiles, dishes, floors and other household items. In principle, targeted communication with consumers is necessary so that they can also use the products sustainably. This guidance was prepared in the IKW by a working group of experts from manufacturers of home care products.Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : Task - Legal regulations and voluntary initiatives

Tige de la chaussureIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Finishing agents based on aqueous formulations are increasingly used in leather and shoe production, often with a view to creating optical effects. This means that the colours of shoe uppers and finishing agents are intentionally quite different from each other. Darker finishing agents are frequently applied to naturally light leathers.
Such finishing agents are not usually smear and water resistant. For environmental reasons, many modern shoe creams are based mainly on solvent-free, water-based formulations. As a result, customer complaints regarding the use of aqueous emulsion creams in shoe care are increasing. Finishing agents can often be wiped off shoes with just a wet cloth. The use of dark finishing agents on light leathers causes light spots and does irreparable damage to shoes.
In modern commercial grade care sprays, such as waterproofing sprays, solvents are either alcohol or minerai spirits. However, not ail shoe uppers are compatible with these substances. In many cases, uppers are degraded or become swollen, which may cause irreparable damage to the shoes.
This IKW recommendation is intended to provide the shoe trade with an instrument for the quality assessment of the compatibility of shoe uppers with care products.
The recommendation can also be used in other fields, such as for leathers intended for furniture and bags.Note de contenu : 1. CARE PRODUCTS - Rub fastness : Method - Test specimen - Assessment - Explanation

These are intended to enable a qualified testing of the cleaning and maintenance products by the manufacturers themselves and by test institutes. Quality characteristics are described that need to be fulfilled by the products concerned in order to achieve the effects expected by consumers and manufacturers. They are applied on larger, painted body components and can be classified in accordance with Diagram 1 in respect of their polishing, paint conditioning and cleaning properties in a product group triangle. The considered product groups differ in terms of these properties. The boundaries between the product groups are fluid in accordance with the representation in Diagram 1 and are partly only determined by the application concentration of certain ingredients.
According to Table 1, the following typical ingredients and assessment criteria can be assigned to the three properties or corners of the product group triangle in Diagram 1.
The paint surfaces are usually two-component paint systems which are used in the automotive industry. The products are applied as a rule with an application medium (e.g. sponge, cloth).
The paint surfaces are heavily exposed to daily strains and soiling and are usually cleaned prior to the application of the above-mentioned three product groups (paint cleaner, paint conditioner, paint polish) e.g. by a car wash (car shampoo). The three product groups (paint cleaner, paint conditioner, paint polish) are as a rule used for value preservation and optical upgrading of the paint surfaces and differ in terms of composition of the ingredients and proper use. The products are commercially available in bottles, tubes or glass jars, tin cans or plastics boxes or other containers as well as in other presentations. They are available in a liquid, solid or pasty condition.Note de contenu : - Rules, standards and volountary agreements

Vaisselle -- NettoyageIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Recommendations for determining the cleaning profile of cleaning products were first published in 1995. The goal of the Working Group was to find suitable soiL types from practice. For this purpose, a working group of automatic dishwashing experts was set up Inside the German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW). Furthermore, representatives from reputable European test institutes and delegates from dishwasher manufacturers joined the Working Group. The WG updated the Recommendations in 2005. Since 2013 the WG has been working on another update. Following a round robin test, a dishwasher is recommended for comparative testing — as well as new or modified soil types Testing no longer includes minced meat in glass dishes, egg/milk and oat flakes ; new soil types to be tested are pasta and crème brûlée and optionally milk skin as an alternative to milk in a microwave oven. Egg yolk, starch mix and minced meat on porcelain plates have been modified.
