Résumé : |
Paints designed for application to wood trim (wood used to cover transitions between surface or for decoration) represent a significant share of the market for wood coatings. Over the past decade, as a result of environmental and other legislation, there has been a general shift from solvent-borne to water-borne in most architectural or decorative coatings applications. However, the very property that makes water-borne coating attractive from environmental, toxicological, and health points of view, i.e. that they contain water, is also the main cause of many of the problems which are associated with water-borne technology and which have hampered the replacement of traditional solvent-borne paints. |
