Résumé : |
Although solvent-based coatings are prominent in industrial applications, environmental regulations are pushing coating companies and formulators towards water-based systems". Industrial coatings include applications like household appliances, construction machinery, garage doors, fitness equipment, kitchen flttings, industrial joinery, etc. These are mostly applied on metal and the main function is to protect the substrate and make it aesthetically appealing. Other properties that industrial coatings need to have are adhesion to metal, block resistance and high gloss. In this area, we have benchmarked PUD prototype with PUD A and PUD B in white pigmented formulations. Additionally, we have compared PUD prototype to PUD C, which is a commercially available self-crosslinking PUD marketed for metal and plastic coatings. Table 9 summarises the properties of the resins in this application |
