(Wikipedia)Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : This article concerns the experimental study in separating Cr(VI) using an emulsion membrane made with trioctylamine (TOA), secondary capryl alcohol (SCA) and tributyl phosphate (TBP) as the mixed carrier, Span-80 and Lan-113 blend as the surfactant and kerosene as the membrane solvent. We have optimized the blend of carrier and surfactant and determined the operating conditions, such as Roi (ratio of oil membrane volume/internal phase) and Rew (Ratio membrane emulsion volume/feed volume), pH of the internal and external phases, the rotation speed and time of emulsion preparation, and the mixing rotation speed (mixing emulsion/wastewater), all of which have some effect on the removal rate of Cr(VI).
The experimental results show that trioctylamine, secondary capryl alcohol and tributyl phosphate (as the mixed carrier) and Span-80 as surfactant make an emulsion membrane which has improved separating enrichment /properties for Cr(VI). The removal rate of Cr(VI) can reach 99.84 %.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE : Reagents and Instruments - Experimental approach

This, in particular, applies to the leather industry wherein with an increase in duplicated embossing of grain patterns; there is a need to detect the animal origin of commercial leather articles. Thus, the characterization of molecular markers that enables rapid detection of the leather source helps us in precise species identification. The present study aims to generate definite sequences between the four major species in the Bovidae family (Buffalo, Cow, Goat, and Sheep), which are the major players in the manufacture of leather products, especially in India. Based on specific mitochondrial sequences, a specific fragment of the mitochondrial 12SrRNA gene was amplified by PCR as a marker for species-level identification. By the maximum homogeneity, from the NCBI and BOLD database, the BLAST analysis of the sequences of amplicons from unknown sources, distinguish closely related species of the subfamilies Bovinae (buffalo and Cow) and Caprinae (sheep and goat) and this 12SrRNA based PCR-BLAST analysis is a good tool to identify the origin and control the quality of leathers that are being manufactured. The present study has optimized an approach for the extraction and amplification of DNA from the finished leather, which is one of the most significant challenges because of the vigorous processes encountered during their manufacture. The findings of the study have commercial value at large scale. TopographieIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In leather research, the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) proves to be an invaluable tool, offering detailed and high-resolution images of both the surface and fiber structure. This information plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes within the leather industry, enhancing the quality of leather products, and contributing to the development of new materials. In the current study, our focus is on unraveling the microscopic details of skins sourced from various biological origins. We aim to provide insights into the distinctive morphological features, fiber arrangements, and surface topographies of bovine, ovine, fish, poultry, reptile, amphibian, and porcine skins, which were converted into crust leathers. We captured microphotographs of the surfaces and crosssections of the leathers through scanning electron microscopy analysis. This paper presents a comprehensive comparison and discussion of the findings, seeking to identify key differences and similarities. Such a comparative analysis contributes to our understanding of material science, fashion, and sustainable design, offering potential implications for these diverse fields.
