Résumé : |
Protecting goods during storage and transport is one of the most important tasks of packaging. A new regulation provides for more controls of load units and their transport packaging. For Eckes-Granini, a supplier of fruit juices, a load unit has been developed that requires less material and offers improved stability. |
Note de contenu : |
- Materials and systems for transporting
- Checking load unit stability
- Practical example : load unit for fruit juices
- Fig. 1 : development of sufficient load unit stability due to appropriate packaging. 100% then corresponds to the forces occurring on the particular distribution channel
- Fig. 2 : Set-up for testing dynamic horizontal loading
- Fig. 3 : Comparison of stretch hood and stretch film
- Fig. 4 : Slow-motion images of the second horizontal test using a stretch hood. Here the range of permissible deformation is green, individual use for high-bay warehouses is yellow, and invalid deformation is red. In this instance, plastic deformation is 16 cm and lies in the red zone
- Fig. 5 : In the third test with stretch film, the 5 cm plastic deformation lies within the green zone |
