Résumé : |
A plant that is unique in Germany, with the character of a pilot plant, at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences combines the advantages of wood or natural fibers with those of plastics. The goal is to develop technically innovative products of natural fiber-plastic composites for auto engineering, wood and furniture construction and other applications, as well as the appropriate resource-friendly manufacturing processes. |
Note de contenu : |
- Wood and natural fiber composites have a future
- The Munacu research cooperation
- Holistic plant configuration
- Fiber manufacture in the refiner plant
- Material compounding and processing in one thermal process
- Material feed and dosing
- Inserting into the vertical clamping unit
- Planned research focuses
- Fig. 1. Biocomposite applications : NFRP and WPC production, with a total volume of 352,000 t, makes up 15% of the European composite material production (incl. glass fiber and carbon fiber composites ) of 2,4 million t
- Fig. 3. Fiber manufacture in the refiner plant : here, natural fibers, of up to 50 mm length are obtained from renewable raw materials ; the picture shows the "steam bath" and the grinder
- Fig. 4. Direct processing in one thermal step : in direct compounding extruder feeds directly into the standard plastication unit installed below it
- Fig. 5. Differential weighing principle : Withe the loss-in-weight technique, the entire dosig system, including the reserve tank and its contents, as well as the dosing element, is weighed
- Fig. 6. Continuous and synchronous material discharge. From the circular collection tank, the homogeneous mixture that has been produced passes directly into the material feed of the compounding extruder |
