In the Federal German Excellence Cluster "Merge", new processes for hydroforming-injection molding for processing thermoplastic fiber composites are being researched. With gas as a forming and supporting medium, fiber-reinforced plastic tubes have been processed for the first time. In specific applications, researchers succeeded in reducing the part weight and process costs, and increasing productivity. |
