Résumé : |
Folds, turned-up edges and other quality issues are an everyday occurrence in the production and processing of packaging material webs. An optical scanner developed by the Fraunhofer IVV Dresden now for the first time allows inline measurement of the web tension profile directly after the extrusion process, thus increasing process reliability. |

- Inline measurement of web flatness
- The oWTP scanner
- Use of the scanner by industry and for research
- FIGURES : Principle of the oWTP scanner : in order to make statement sabout the flatness, the oWTP scanner measures the web tension profile on an electro-statically charged film web, with an image processing system analyzing the roll-off edge on a rubber roller - 1. Analysis of the roll-off edge on the guide roller - 2. The web transport test rig for measuring material properties and web tension at processing speeds of 120m/min |
