Résumé : |
The epidermis is one of the most active tissues in terms of regeneration. Epidermal basal cells are mostly responsible for preserving the self-renewal properties of the skin, with age, these cells lose their efficiency, leading to a slowdown of the division process, a reduction of functional keratinocytes and the consequent emergence of aging signs on the skin. In order to help reactivate basal cells and to allow the self-renewing properties of the epidermis last longer, a cosmetic active ingredient was developed inspired by epigenetics. This ingredient can assist in the reactivation of basal cells for an accelerated turnover of the epidermis. When evaluated on the skin of volunteers a smoother, a more radiant and younger-looking appearance was observed. |
Note de contenu : |
- Modulation of miR-145 and induction of stem cell factors
- Favoring progenitor cells of the epidermis
- Renewal and smoothing of the skin surface
- Radiant and better-looking skin
- FIGURES : 1. Gene expression of three different transcription factors (*p<0.05 ; **p<0.01) - 2. RHE showing K10 and K14 in green (nuclei are colored in blue) - 3. Epidermal models with p63 represented in green (cell nuclei marked in blue) - 4. Epidermal self-renewal time (vs non-treated skin : **p<0.01 ; ***<0.01 ; vs placebo : *p<0.05) - 5. Reconstructed 3D images of skin roughness. The reduction in surface depth can be observed as a tendency to change from blue to red - 6. Images of a volunteer before and after 56 days of treatment |
