The development of efficient sun protection products with a high degree of light protection, which meets the requirements of today's regulatory, market and customer requirements in a technical and sensory manner, places the developer at high challenges due to growing restrictions. Current relevant aspects for the development of modern sunscreens, relevant influencing criteria, correlations and the professional approach for a successful product are presented. Starting from benchmarking, major attention is paid ta the important relationship between selected UVA/UVB filter platform and the galenic of the formulation for optimizing protection performance, rheology, film formation and sensory aspects, as demonstrated by practical examples. |
