RonaCare® RenouMer is a new and innovative ingredient based on the treasures of oceans and more specifically on a red algae (Polysiphonia elongata) notably found on the French Brittany coast. Considering the necessity to preserve natural resources on longer-term basis, P. elongata has been produced in a sustainable manner. RonaCare® RenouMer counteracts effects of skin ageing, characterized by a thinner dermis, storing less water and resulting in lors in skin smoothness.
We demonstrated in an in vitro model how the collagen synthesis could be increased after application of RonaCare® RenouM¬er and outstanding skin rejuvenation properties could be measured on an in vivo basis. After 2 months treatment with 2 % RonaCare® RenouMer on the face, skin was smoothed, wrinkles visibly reduced, density of the dermis increased and skin elas¬ticity improved. Finally superior hydration rate was recorded.
Overall, a novel and sustainable ingredient has been found enabling consumer to look younger, longer. |
