Résumé : |
Watering gardens with rainwater has been a major topic since well before water became more and more valuable. As early as 1974, Otto Graf GmbH started offering rainwater storage tanks. But even before that time, the company had been successful in container production, and still is today. A significant factor of success when implementing their solutions − some of which are demanding − is the development environment based on PTC Creo and supported by Inneo. |
Note de contenu : |
- Plastic parts with up to 3500 design elements
- The new system solved all inconsistencies
- Collision and demolding tests included
- FIGURES : 1. Rainwater harvesting systems today go fare beyond the good old rainwater storage tank, which becomes obvious in this underground system by Otto Graf - 2. The corrugations of the Natura tank were modelled as a real 3D geometry to prevent undercuts - 3. Graf products include few components. However, their geometries bring the CAD system to its limits - 4. The largest injection molding machine in the world, with its 55000 kN clamping force, stands in the Graf factory, producting tank halves - Using the process of rotational molding, outstanding surfaces can be achieved, while demolding substantially depends on good design
