Résumé : |
Plastic/metal hybrids - The IKV in Aachen, Germany, has investigated the influence of process management on the quality and durability of electrically conductive plastic components. In the process, the conductor tracks were molded into the plastic carrier by die casting in an integrated process. The results show that the components produced in this way have a long service life with regard to electrical loads. Compared to overmolding of inserts, the process can be an economical alternative. |
Note de contenu : |
- Plastic carrier with integrated metallic conductor track
- Venting is critical
- Electrically highly resistant and suitable for continuous use
- Is the change worthwhile ?
- The complexer, the more economic
- FIGURES : 1. Similar to multi-component injection molding with transfer technology, plastic parts with integrated conductor tracks are manufactured with IMKS - 2. Modular mold technology for the production of carrier plates with different conductor track geometries - 3. Influence of the die-casting settings on the relative number of defects : With low clamping force and injection speed, defects (see the air pockets at the bottom right) can be avoided - 4. Comparison of the temperatures at different currents : Small tracks can also transmit large currents - 5. Comparison of the measured voltage over 1000 load cycles :Even after 1000 cycles there is no voltage drop - 6. Static cost comparison method : For complex three-dimensional track shapes, manufacturing with the IMKS is economical
