Two of the main factors that can influence formulation are changes in legislation and changes in the market via new trends such as higher SPFs, water resistancy requirements, better photostability, new product forms e.g., sprays, sport products, balms, etc. Additionally public relations and the media can also play a role, for example what will be the effect, if any, on formulation of the endocrine disruption scare of last year that received massive publicity? To answer this we have to wait for this coming and the following summers. |
