Résumé : |
In a new type of waterborne acrylic-epoxy hybrid coating, the epoxy component is initially contained within the acrylic particles but diffuses out during cure to form the continuous phase of the dry system. Advantages include fast curing, low cosolvent demand and improved UV resistance. Practical and laboratory tests of this system as a floor coating are reported. |

- Fast drying with minimal cosolvent
- UV resistance is greater than normal for epoxies
- Extended pot-life and greater dilution stability
- Evaluating a system for concrete car park flooring
- Further lab testing evaluates AEH as a floor coating
- Ease of handling combined with improved durability
