Above-average Growth - Thanks to its outstanding mechanical, chemical and tribological properties, polyoxymethylene (POM) can bridge the gap between plastics and metals. Its field of applications is broad – from automotive through electrical and electronics, consumer goods and the food industry right up to medical technology industry. New developments such as low-emission grades, metal-detectable grades, grades subject to special quality controls and high-impact types are opening up further fields of application. Consumption is rising rapidly – particularly in China which is experiencing an estimated average increase of 7 % per year. |
